The new Roxio Video Capture app captures using Apple Intermediate Codec in High-quality mode and H.264 MPEG 4 format in Medium- and Low-Quality modes. ![]() That app records video in the MPEG 2 format required for video DVDs. An article published January 24 on Roxio's MyMoments site refers to the product's new name but mistakenly shows the steps for using the previous application rather than the new application.Ĭurrently, the previous Easy VHS to DVD for Mac app is available for download from Roxio's software updates page. It appears Roxio renamed this product as "Roxio Video Capture USB for Mac." The new Roxio Video Capture app is better for capturing video for playback on computers and uploading to the Internet and less convenient for making video DVDs (although the videos still can be made into video DVD discs by using iDVD or recent versions of Toast or Popcorn). This new app looks very different and changes the video-encoding format. I tried these in the hope that it might kick the program into working but the 2011 fix failed to find the installed program (creator 2011) and the fix for Creator 2010 ran for more than 45 minutes without success.Īt this point, I am starting to look for alternative solutions for this software that will fulfill my requirements. These links are to fix the "certificate missing." error in those programs. The tech support sent me a link for Creator 20. I am still having issues with the "certificate file" and the "An unknown error has occurred" errors. Once restarted, I went into the task manager to ensure the antivirus, firewall, maleware, etc program(s) were not running and tried to install V2D. ![]() I went into "msconfig" and deactivated all and restarted my computer. Was your antivirus running when you installed Easy VHS to DVD? ![]()
